Daft Punk
Project Information
Daft Punk are an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (born February 8, 1974) and Thomas Bangalter (born January 3, 1975). Daft Punk reached significant popularity in the late 1990s house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. The duo is also credited with producing songs that are considered essential in the French house scene. They were managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter (Busy P), the head of Ed Banger Records. Early in the group's career, the band members were strongly influenced by groups such as The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones. Bangalter and de Homem-Christo were originally in a band called Darlin', which disbanded after a short period of time, leaving the two to experiment musically on their own.
Best known for Singles: One More Time, Robot Rock, Derezzed, Harder Better Faster Strong. Albums: Discovery, Homework and the new Tron: Legacy Soundtrack
Abney and Teal Club
Project Information
The Adventures of Abney & Teal is new programme on CBeebies, produced by BBC and Ragdoll (the people who made Teletubbies, Brum, Tweenies and more) . The show is about some lovably characters who live on an island in the middle of a lake, in the middle of a park, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the big city. Their lives are full of adventure and exploration and they live together with a group of friendly, funny characters, who are always ready for adventure.
We did the design, build, SEO and marketing.
After only 3 months of being online, as of this date (30th Dec) the website gets:
- Over 6000 unique visitors a month (which equates to over 22,000 page views)
- Has over 2000 email subscribers ready to buy merchandise (Plus gaining 30 - 60 new subscribers everyday)
- Over 800 Twitter followers.
Blu-ray Direct
Project Information
Blu-rayDirect.co.uk is an online Blu-ray retailer with tens of thousands of Blu-ray movies available to buy online with free UK delivery.
Blu-ray Direct is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.
We optimized Blu-ray direct which now automatically updates its inventory of blu-ray movies automatically to add all the latest releases without having to look through pages and pages of price/stock lists. The website literally does the work!
Cake Chester
Project Information
Cake Chester (Cake UK Ltd) already had a website but they where not happy with it and had a lot of new and exciting ideas about design and ways to use a new website to develop the business.
Firstly, the old website was static, meaning they could not edit anything themselves they had to phone the web company each time they wanted to add or edit something. So we gave them a bespoke content management system. They can now edit the website and add new photos of those beautiful cakes as they make them.
In terms of design, we tried a few styles. The owners wanted something new, fresh and funky. Not corporate and not to many straight lines - so we went away and started designing the website by hand with pencil and paper to get an organic, creative web design layout. We eventually nailed it and are very pleased with the outcome.
The website will also allow Cake Chester to sell How to cake decoration videos and has a paid membership area that is also fully manageable in-house.
Cake Chester and ourselves have had remarkable, wonderful feedback on this website with hundreds of emails and messages already. This was a very rewarding project and we are happy to continue working with Cake Chester as they come up with more new ideas in the future.

Bollicini
Project Information
Bollicini Italian restaurant in Chester already had a website, but they where not happy with the design and the functionality. They could not manage the website themselves, they had to pay a company to do it for them. After a meeting with the owner and manager of the restaurant we quickly got a feel for what they wanted from their website and what they wanted it to do for them and the business.
We spent a lot of time in the beginning nailing down the design to set the right mood and show what Bollicini is all about. Another real focus was the layout to maximise conversions. The main aim of the website is to get people to email or pick up the phone and book a table, so we added and tested some calls to action in various places and found an optimal layout.
We also made the website SEO friendly to make sure the pages were ranked well on Google, Bing, Yahoo and others. They are top of page one on Google for 'Italian Restaurant in Chester' and several variations.
The website is built around a content management system so they can now edit the website themselves in-house without paying anyone a penny. They love that!

Bull & Stirrup Hotel
Project Information
The owners of the Bull & Stirrup wanted a new website that showed their beautiful building and rich heritage. We arranged for a professional photographer to capture this and we designed the website around them. The result is quite lovely.
The Bull & Stirrup is a traditional pub and restaurant. So we added a full menu with prices. We also created a secure bespoke booking page to allow visitors to book a room online.

Project Information
The Dinner Club had a website when we first met with them. They were far from satisfied with the old website in both design and results yielded.
We set out to change that. We started by redesigning the website completely to create a mood and feel suitable for The Dinner Clubs target market.
The Dinner Club also has regular events, special offers and programme changes so we also armed the company with a fully flexible content management system allowing them to edit the website in-house at no extra cost moving forward.

We stuck to a black and white colour scheme allowing Caroline's impressive work to colour the website.
